Meet the Speakers


WILL MCCARTHY

Business Development Director at Rendesco.

Will's role at Rendesco is to lead the charge in advancing bespoke heat pump systems and funded heat networks across the UK. The solutions we provide will significantly reduce carbon emissions, create more desirable places to live, save developers money and set their developments apart from the competition. With a solid track record of over 14 years in the renewables sector, Will specialises in the consultation, design and delivery of funded heat networks and bespoke heat pump solutions.  His speciality lands in identifying new markets, growing existing markets and delivering industry-leading solutions through experience, collaboration and strong communication. 

John Beresford

Managing Director of Buckland Development Ltd.

John has over 25 years’ experience as a developer in the residential sector which includes the delivery of large complex schemes. Before joining Buckland in 2018 John was previously responsible for running the strategic land business at Grainger Plc. Including projects at Wellesley, Aldershot, a scheme of 4,000 new homes and associated infrastructure on the former army garrison, and Berewood, a greenfield urban extension forming 2,630 new homes at Waterlooville, Hampshire. Whilst at Grainger Plc, John also set up and managed Grainger Trust Ltd, which, as a subsidiary of Grainger Plc, is a Registered Provider of affordable homes. Prior to working at Grainger Plc John started his career working in housebuilding for Bryant Homes and Taylor Woodrow.
