Avoiding the pitfalls with PV adoption for the Future Homes Standard
Key learnings from Part L and installing at scale to achieve compliance

Eco2Solar are the largest Solar PV, EV and Battery installer to new build housing in the UK and have grown 40% (on average) year on year. Under their ownership by E.ON Next, they have scaled operations to install nearly 2,000 plots per month, providing developers with packages to achieve compliance - from smart meters through to PV and EV chargers. They are members of the HBF, the Future Homes Hub and the PV implementation working group.
Their new centre of excellence will provide Hub members with the opportunity to visit their training centre and see (in practical terms) how Solar PV/EV/Batteries are installed, how to approach "max fit", how to overcome or minimise Grid connection issues, how to minimise disruption to your build programme and how to meet compliance as we look toward the Future Homes Standard.

Ryan Mee, CEO
Ryan joined Eco2Solar Ltd in 2009 as its 4th employee and has been involved in growing the business from 4-120 people and increasing turnover by over X100.
Having overseen the commercial team, he was then responsible for overseeing the rapid growth of the company when the introduction of Part L saw installations increase by X6 times over a 4 week period, helping to put the structure in place for the Operations Team to deliver over 1,500 connections per month on new build houses across the UK.
When Eco2Solar was acquired by E.ON in 2025, Ryan became CEO and with E.ON's wider new build team is helping to pull together propositions that will help deliver multiple solutions that will make life easier for developers as we approach the Future Homes Standard.

Claire Enstone, Director of Technical
Having studied Geography with Environmental Management at the University of Exeter, Claire worked for a Solar PV company in London before joining Eco2Solar as our Technical Manager in 2019 before progressing to become our Director of Technical.
As part of her leadership role, Claire oversees all aspects of technical compliance, from our accreditations through to design and installation to ensure that all installations meet the necessary standards.
Alongside Ryan, Claire is part of the Future Homes Hub PV implementation working group, helping developers to implement regulations with compliant systems on their homes.
